AIM

To bring in confidence as to how basic design principles and knowledge are used in solving simple space, small span buildings and create spaces and buildings responding to human anthropometrics and creating environments which are barrier free. Students are trained to solve design solutions based on simple topologies, and present them in the form of drawings.

OBJECTIVES:

THE MATERIALS USED FOR THE DESIGN

• To enable a student understand the basics of anthropometrics, its application in articulating vertical, horizontal space and later on in simple buildings including considerations for physically challenged through a design process resulting in specific typologies, as specified.

• To enable a student to work with hand, details, and simple models of selected elements of components of a building. Later on the students are to be trained to make models of simple buildings and structure, which they design in their exercises.

DESIGN :
The selection of area and the client is provided to the choice of the students who need to create more interesting features to their design part .

Leisure house i may be a place which is used by a single family to visit it in the time of holiday and to take enjoy their free time with their family and friends .

I DECIDED MY CLIENT IS AN animator TO ENHANCE HIS CREATIVITY AND TO CREATE VERY OWN IDEA ON HIS CREATION HE USED TO VISIT HIS LEISURE HOUSE FREQUENTLY AND ALSO HE SPENDS HIS TIME WITH HIS FAMILY @ WEEKENDS .

THE LEISURE HOUSE IS DESIGNED IN A WAY TO GET A PANORAMIC VIEW FROM HIS STUDIO SPACE HENCE TO MAKE HIS MIND FREE AND FEEL GREEN THE TERRACE WITH GREEN IS PROVIDED BESIDES HIS STUDIO .

SINCE HIS WIFE IS NATURE LOVER THE LANDSCAPING AND THE FLOWER GARDENS ARE DESIGNED ACHIEVED IN THE DESIGN TO ENJOY MORE WITH NATURAL STOUTS, GAZEBO AND BARBEQUE PLACES ...

LOCATION

The site located near to the soolagri town which is in krishnagiri district the site is elevated from the ground level since to get the view of the gorgeous blue sky and mountains with water body and has a special vista with the views from interior and exterior.

ONSITE FEATURE :

As an onsite feature the site experiences good land with 12 trees and small rocks with besides small natural grasses .

The site consists of three positive view and one negative views

Climate

The site experiences a tropical savanna climate . And due to its high elevation, the local area enjoys a more moderate climate throughout the year, with has a blown of occasional heat waves.

The coolest month is January of 17.1 °C & the hottest month is April of 33.6 °C. Winter rarely drop below 12 °C, and summer seldom exceed 36 °C.

RAINFALL :

The site receives rainfall from both the NE and SW monsoons. The summer heat is moderated by fairly thunderstorms but no flooding. Humidity is 31% and AVE rainfall is 84 cm.

SITE

The total site area of 1530 sq.m

the built up area : 350 sq.m

As per the guidance of the staff to cover 30% of land area

SUN : east - south - west

WIND : NE and SW monsoon .

NOISE : in the north direction from the granite industries .

SITE CONCEPT :

The site is located 6.3 m from the ground level and the entrance to the site is located in the rear side of it and the site is chosen in a way is not get distracted by any other means of buildings and to the view points .
